Vivid helped celebrate the talented entrepreneurs of the South West in November by spreading news of National Enterprise Week far and wide.
Working in partnership with the South West Regional Development Agency, Vivid made sure the inspiring stories of business people in the South West and the hard work of local schools and other organisations were promoted to the media.
Enterprise Week received wide coverage across the region, including Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset, Bristol and Gloucestershire.
National Enterprise Week ran from November 17 to 23 and celebrated people who have ideas and put them into action. In our area the SWRDA championed Enterprise Week and helped get events off the ground.
As part of a national week of activities celebrating enterprise at work, at home, in the community and in education, the SWRDA organised and supported an exciting programme of events designed to help people develop their ideas and unlock enterprising potential.
Events in the area included:
- The Make Your Mark Challenge on November 17. A free one-day enterprise competition open to students in Sixth Form and in FE College.
- Women's Enterprise Day on November 19. Was all about celebrating female entrepreneurs who have truly made their mark, and inspiring more women and girls to turn their ideas into reality.
- Social Enterprise Day on November 20. Was an event to inspire the next generation of social entrepreneurs and encourage them to start up businesses that can help address some of society's biggest problems.http://www.southwestrda.org.uk/
